Hot Spot

THROUGH THE WEEK OF Aug. 16, 2015

Reno Little Theater is bringing a unique evening with Ouroboros Shadow Pictures, lauded as one of the foremost touring shadow-theater companies in the United States. The company is premiering its newest original production, “The History of Waking Up” with two shows on Aug. 14.

The Oakland-based troupe consists of Alisa Javits, a visual artist and Adam Lipsky, a musician.

“The History of Waking Up” explores two people’s perceptions of time and their struggles with loneliness. When the line between the real and the imagined begins to disintegrate, the collective journey of both characters becomes clear.
