THROUGH THE WEEK OF Jan. 3, 2016

During the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day, Reno celebrates classical music with the 12^th annual Nevada Chamber Music Festival. Some of the world’s greatest musicians will perform at Nightingale Concert Hall on the University of Nevada, Reno campus and at South Reno United Methodist Church.

The 18 participating musicians include festival familiars, including Los Angeles Philharmonic concertmaster Martin Chalifour, former Tokyo String Quartet cellist Clive Greensmith, and legendary Steinway artist Robert Levin. New musicians featured include violinist Catherine Manoukian, acclaimed recording artist Antonio Pompa-Baldi and his wife, Emanuela Friscioni, and cellist Emilio Colon.

The New Year’s Eve performance has become a spectacular Reno tradition that should not be missed. Reno is very lucky to have such a festival with this caliber of musicians.
